Sanford, NC – Pinehurst Medical Clinic is pleased to welcome a new Primary Care Provider, Chase Nielsen, DO, to the Sanford Medical location. Dr. Nielsen will be accepting new patients and will be available five days a week in Lee County.
Dr. Nielsen earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Utah Valley Hospital in Utah, where he grew up. Dr. Nielsen said, “My family and I missed our North Carolina experiences of hiking, biking, going to the beach, and eating BBQ; we decided we had to move back.”
Dr. Nielsen is a board-certified primary care physician who received the Distinguished Clinical Scholar Award and National Service Award from the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents at Campbell University. At Campbell University, Dr. Nielsen enjoyed pediatrics, adult preventive medicine, chronic medical care, sports and musculoskeletal medicine.
“I enjoy taking care of people and helping them with such a significant part of their life,” expressed Dr. Nielsen. “I value the physician-patient relationships I establish with my patients, and being able to be there for them during life’s difficult and joyous times is important to me.”
Dr. Nielsen joined Pinehurst Medical Clinic because of the clinic’s compassion for their patients and the organization’s commitment to the local communities they have the privilege to serve.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Nielsen enjoys being with his wife and their two little boys. He is excited to be back in North Carolina and looks forward to becoming a better boatman and angler.
