FirstHealth Cardiology with Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) are pleased to announce the addition of Melissa Hill, FNP-C, to its esteemed cardiology team in Sanford. With extensive experience in cardiovascular care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes, Hill will play a vital role in advancing the team’s mission to provide exceptional heart health services.
Hill earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowling Green State University. She is board-certified as a nurse practitioner and comes to the team after serving patients at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
“We are excited to welcome Melissa to our cardiology department,” said Lukas Jantac, M.D. “With her expertise and compassionate approach, she will be a valuable asset in our ongoing efforts to enhance cardiovascular health and support our patients.”
After taking anatomy and physiology in high school, Hill developed a passion for the science behind the human body. She states, "I knew I wanted to pursue an education and a career that would allow me to make a daily impact on patients' quality of life and well-being." Throughout this journey, Hill learned that fostering a safe environment encourages patients to learn about and understand their health status. With this philosophy, she hopes to break the barrier between patient and provider and enhance individualized care.
In her new role, Hill will diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, develop individualized care plans, and work closely with patients and their families to manage heart health effectively. Hill will serve patients at 1818 Doctors Drive, Sanford, NC.
