Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC), a leader in digestive health, is excited to welcome Jenna Cavanaugh MSN, FNP-C, to its gastroenterology team at PMC – Gastroenterology in Pinehurst. Cavanaugh joins the established team of experts specializing in diagnosing and treating digestive system disorders. As a North Carolina native, she attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, Versailles, KY. She chose to pursue a career in healthcare for two reasons, stating, "I desired a sustainable career in which I could positively impact lives, and I also have a unique personal experience being in the patient role as a child. The compassion of the nurses who cared for me has remained with me to this day, and I consider it an honor to be able to pay forward the same care provided to me to others."We are looking forward to Jenna Cavanaugh, FNP-C, joining the gastroenterology team," said her supervising physician, Dr. David Martin. "Her knowledge and dedication to patient care will be an asset to our facility and the community we serve." Expanding its digestive health team with Cavanaugh enhances its ability to deliver specialized and advanced gastroenterological care. With over seven years of clinical experience, she has developed a care approach that values both patient-centric and holistic care. She states, "I strive to stay current on the ever-evolving practice guidelines, which ensures I am able to provide the safest and best care possible."When not caring for patients, she enjoys trips to Carolina Beach, traveling, reading, and leisure time with friends and her tortoiseshell cat, Nova.
