New Primary Care Provider joins Pinehurst Medical Clinic, Expands Walk-In Clinic in Southern Pines

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is pleased to welcome Nathan Palmer, PA, to the team. Palmer joining PMC Walk-In Clinic—Southern Pines reaffirms PMC’s commitment to ensuring accessibility for PMC patients needing convenient, same-day care. He brings extensive experience and shares in PMC's commitment to patient care. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. He has felt compelled to help others since he was a small child and began his career serving in the United States Army. During his time in the military, he realized and shared that "the fear of someone needing my help but me not knowing how to help them became a driving force behind my decision to pursue a medical career.”
With over six years of clinical experience, Palmer states, “While working as a provider for nursing home patients, I noted the excellent care that PMC provided to patients under its care. So, when the opportunity arose to join the team, I was thrilled knowing I could serve others in my community with such an outstanding organization.”
Palmer is known for his compassionate approach to patient care and dedication to patient education. His care philosophy is, "Teach the patient why you are treating their condition the way that you are treating it, and they will be more compelled to comply with that treatment.”
After retiring from the Army, Palmer and his wife decided to stay in North Carolina. They value the time spent with their children more than anything and love traveling, fishing, and water sports.
The PMC Walk-In Clinic at 200 Pavilion Way, Southern Pines, NC, is one of two walk-in clinics available to PMC patients. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
