Pinehurst, NC – Pinehurst Medical Clinic welcomes a new endocrinologist, Dr. Alex Bonnecaze. Pinehurst Medical Clinic Endocrinology will now be available to meet further the area’s growing need for access to endocrinology and diabetes care.
Alex Bonnecaze, M.D. earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Washington School Of Medicine. Dr. Bonnecase completed his fellowship and residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
“Early on in life, I had an interest in studying biology, nutrition, and exercise, ” stated Dr. Bonnecaze. “The field of endocrinology became a natural fit for me, as I enjoy being able to help educate and counsel patients to manage conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and other metabolic disorders.” Dr. Bonnecaze’s areas of interest within endocrinology include management of obesity, lipidology (cholesterol disorders), and male hypogonadism (low testosterone).
Dr. Bonnecaze will join Pinehurst Medical Clinic Endocrinology located at 205 Page Road, Pinehurst. Pinehurst Medical Clinic Endocrinology is staffed by four board-certified providers including, Brook Mays, M.D., Olga Izotova, M.D., Debra Parsons, NP, and Gail Lowery, MS, FNP-BC, CDE. Pinehurst Medical Clinic Endocrinology providers specialize in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with a wide variety of hormonal problems and the glands responsible for their production (thyroid, pituitary, parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas, ovaries, and testes), as well as metabolic diseases of the bone and diabetes care.
Dr. Bonnecaze grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, but now calls North Carolina home, where he has spent the last seven years. In his time off, he enjoys spending time with his wife and Siberian husky.
