Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is proud to announce that it was the highest-donating walk team for this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's in Moore County.
PMC's fundraising efforts raised an outstanding $14,388.46, significantly contributing to the fight against Alzheimer's disease. The 2024 Moore County Walk to End Alzheimer's, which took place in Pinehurst, NC, brought together 1086 registered participants, 133 walk teams, and a total revenue raised of $184,314 to raise awareness and funds for research, support services, and advocacy efforts. PMC participated with the shared goal of advancing research to find a cure for Alzheimer's and to stand with all the individuals and families in our local community who are impacted by the disease.
"We are beyond grateful to our incredible team members, who helped us achieve this accomplishment and joined us on walk day to show their dedication to this cause," said Brandon Enfinger, CEO of Pinehurst Medical Clinic. "We are committed to continuing the fight against Alzheimer's, and this success will help provide the necessary resources for the next steps toward a cure."
According to the 2022 Moore County Community Health Assessment, Alzheimer’s is the 3rd leading cause of death in Moore County. As an established healthcare leader in Moore County since 1952, PMC's team members understand the importance of coming together to end Alzheimer's and supporting those impacted by the disease.
"We are proud of the tremendous effort put forth by PMC and the organization’s continued support of the walk," said Victoria Huggins, Walk Manager, Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter. "The funds raised will go directly toward funding critical research, local programs for families and caregivers, and advocacy initiatives."
PMC encourages other organizations in the community to join this incredible opportunity and cause. For more information about the Alzheimer's Association or to donate to the cause, please visit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Moore County website: act.alz.org/MooreCounty .
