Biography
David McDonald, MSN, FNP, RN, is an internal medicine provider at Pinehurst Medical Clinic. He also serves patients at PMC—Morganton Park in Southern Pines and is responsible for providing a wide range of healthcare services, including promoting healthy living, disease prevention, health maintenance, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, and more.
David earned his bachelor’s degree of science in nursing from Governors State University, University Park, IL, and his master’s degree in nursing from Bradley University, Peoria, IL.
He began his career as a paramedic and firefighter, and it was during this time that David connected with the medical aspect of those roles and eventually went to nursing school to pursue a full-time nursing career. After serving almost ten years as a registered nurse, he enrolled in nurse practitioner training.
With his wealth of knowledge and a deep dedication to patient care, David has developed a healthcare philosophy focused on providing guidance tailored to a given person's goals.
Relocating from Illinois, McDonald and his family dreamt of one day living in North Carolina and feel blessed to have the opportunity to call it home.
