Biography
Melissa Aubin, PA-C, is an obesity medicine provider at Pinehurst Medical Clinic. Melissa serves patients at PMC – Morganton Park in Southern Pines consisting of board-certified endocrinology and obesity medicine physician Alex Bonnecaze, MD, and board-certified internal medicine and obesity medicine Julie Baugher, MD.
Melissa earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from State University of New York at Oswego in Oswego, N.Y.
Bringing over ten years of clinical experience, Melissa has had the opportunity to turn her passion for caring for others into a career. During this time, she has curated a care philosophy of promoting strong provider-patient relationships to encourage open communication.
Originally from Fulton, NY, Melissa has called North Carolina home since 2018 and enjoys the lack of snow and ample sunshine the state has to offer. Outside of patient care, she enjoys singing and playing violin with the Worship team at her church, teaching dance fitness classes, and exploring the land of make-believe with her young daughter and her two fur siblings, Sid, their dog, and Creature, their cat.
