We feel the onboarding process should be a structured, yet fun and supportive way to welcome and orient you into your department seamlessly. Our goal is to ensure you’re able to
- Build connections and accelerate the development of personal ties to your department and PMC as an organization.
- Gain pride in working for PMC, and committing to executing its values.
- Participate and encourage two-way communications.
- Successfully acclimate into your new role.
This program includes presenting all new team members a green badge pull which symbolizes that they are new to the organization and may need help finding locations, meetings, etc. Further bringing home the organization's commitment to ensuring all new staff feels part of the team from Day One. Once the teammate has completed 90 days they will have their badge pulls switched out for a blue one.
Leadership Development
The Foundations of Leadership is a program that provides leadership and skills training for all Pinehurst Medical Clinic supervisors and above. This program has been designed to ensure the organization is setting its managers up for success to help them lead their teams and will continue to grow and evolve over the next year.
Preceptor Programs
Our Preceptor program is designed ensure our new team members have the best possible on-boarding experience. Preceptors at Pinehurst Medical Clinic attend annual training, taught by the organization's Learning and Development Team. This training teaches the newest techniques to successfully onboard staff. Between discussion and team building exercises, they develop a firm grasp on how to meet staff where they are and assist them in becoming successful here at PMC. New staff enjoy engaging preceptors, an interactive training checklist and the Blue Carpet Program to ensure success from the start.
Along with renewing our current preceptors, staff that have a strong grasp of the department workflow, and a desire to pass their knowledge along, are afforded the opportunity to become a preceptor. They will attend training to fine-tune their teaching skills, learn the ins and outs of how precepting works, and the best ways to assist a new staff member in becoming successful.
